The elite of the two dominating political parties in the U.S. perpetuate the false idea that the U.S. is the prime model of democracy in the world and want the people to believe that voting in elections, especially federal elections, is the most important political act one can make. U.S. federal elections are used to divert the people from mass organizing to overcome the root causes of their concerns. This is not a question of whether or not to vote but one of how every strategy used for our liberation requires mass organization and cannot be reduced to an individual act.

Join PACA, Pan-African Community Action for this special Assata Shakur Study Group session on November 13th, 2024 to deconstruct together how U.S. elections serve to legitimize and maintain the most destructive and inhumane policies of the ruling class and how the people must flip the script using information hidden from us and strategies for building a society based on the human rights to healthcare, education, shelter, and safety.
