Join the Baltimore Citywide Alliance as we highlight the ways in which the Democratic and Republican parties both perpetuate systems of oppression that directly harm the African working class. Through an open discussion, participants will analyze the material conditions facing African workers, including economic inequality, lack of access to adequate healthcare and housing, over-policing, and mass incarceration.
The discussion will be led by facilitators who are experienced in political economy and systemic analysis, offering clear insight into the ways both major U.S. parties serve corporate interests rather than working people. In addition to exploring how the duopoly undermines the needs of African communities, the event will also propose alternative political strategies, including community organizing and the creation of independent political movements.
