Nan McCurdy is a United Methodist missionary who lived in Nicaragua for decades. She is editor of the weekly English language update from Nicaragua, Nica Notes. She will talk about the changes and developments in Nicaragua over the past year.
Julie Varughese is coordinator of the Black Alliance for Peace Solidarity Network and editor of independent publication Toward Freedom. She will talk about what she learned from Nicaraguan farmers and what she saw on election day in Chinandega.
Together, these speakers will provide a totally different perspective to the widespread misinformation about Nicaragua in western media.
