Please join the DC Citywide Alliance of the Black Alliance For Peace on Saturday, March 29 for its teach-in ‘Arms of Empire: Gentrification in DC.’ This teach-in will be a primer on DC’s unique position as the capital of the U.S. Empire, the history of how race and class impacts the inhabitants of this city, and how gentrification is connected to private equity and the defense industry, playing a part in accelerating DC’s rapid change in housing over the last 20 years.

The teach-in will be followed by a panel discussion exploring how the United States government and multinational corporations exacerbate the housing crisis in The District and across the colonized world.
