The claim by Nashville City Council is that they have engaged Nashville communities & organizations and have gotten their approval on FUSUS, the FUSUS “guardrail bill”, and other related surveillance/policing technologies and techniques (LPRs, Traffic Stops, Oracle, Cop City, etc.). This town hall is an opportunity to challenge that narrative by inviting Nashville communities and the organizations referenced to speak to how surveillance & increasing police techniques/institutions have a negative effect on Nashville communities through multiple lenses.
