On July 18th, 2026 Puerto Ricans across the diaspora and on the archipelago will mobilize for independence. Puerto Rico is recognized as the oldest colony in the world, with over 500 years of colonial history, including 128 years of U.S colonial rule. The Puerto Rican people have been strangled by the U.S with laws such as the Jones-Shafroth Act, Acts 20, 22, and 60, and as of 10 years ago - PROMESA. Puerto Rico is facing an illegal, unpayable debt, infrastructure collapse, political corruption, capitalist land grabs, union busting, privatization, austerity conditions, mass displacement of the work force, imperialist war games, all imposed by the U.S empire due to our colonial status, while the U.S spends frivolously on “bread and circus” and endless genocidal campaigns. As the U.S celebrates 250 years of so-called “freedom” - they maintain forced dominion over Puerto Rico. This time last year, over 5000 Puerto Ricans mobilized on the streets of the archipelago with thousands mobilizing around the U.S.

We demand an end to the occupation of our ancestral homelands - And by any and all available means, we demand a socialist future for our people. ¡Que Viva Puerto Rico Libre y Socialista!
