What was Malcolm X's political program? Why has this program been buried beneath superficial symbols, myths, and slogans? How can recovering this political program move us toward true liberation?

Join Community Movement Builders-Newark on September 10th at 6pm in the Express Newark Lecture Hall for a conversation with Kehinde Andrews, author of the new book, Nobody Can Give You Freedom: The Real Mission of Malcom X.

Kehinde will help us to debunk common myths about Malcolm, discuss the ins and outs of the Organization of Afro-American Unity (OAAU), and discover important takeaways from Malcolm’s political legacy. This conversation will be a deeper engagement with Malcolm's work and plans for organization. We believe this conversation with Kehinde will take us beyond sound bites and video clips and help us as we work to organize our people today.

RSVP today!

Refreshments will be served.

@sourceofknowledge will have copies of Nobody Can Give You Freedom on-site and available for purchase.
