One of the proudest accomplishments of the Cuban, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan revolutions has been the right to health, guaranteed to all citizens through universal healthcare. These countries have some of the best child health indicators in the world, but those gains are threatened by unilateral coercive measures, especially those imposed by the United States.
Americas Without Sanctions will present its new teach-in materials to explain how the US blockades of Cuba and Venezuela undermine children’s right to health.” As we demand that the US Government Stop Killing Children with Sanctions, we also call for a Peoples-Centered Human Rights framework.
