Africans in the U.S. and Palestinians have a long history of shared struggle and resistance, from members of the Black Panther Party and Palestinian Liberation Organization at the Pan African Cultural Festival in Algeria to Palestinians providing tips on easing the effects of the tear gas police departments were deploying during various uprisings against police violence in the U.S. We’ll hear from organizers on issues such as medical neglect in prisons, prison organizing in the U.S. and Palestine and how to plug in to current work to support Mumia.
