Teaching Black August: A Workshop

The Black Alliance for Peace Solidarity Network Prisoner Support Team has developed a Teach-In Guide for Black August. Join us for this workshop to talk through ways that you and/or your organization can implement the teach-in guide in your neighborhood, region, or virtually. Using the guide as a tool, we'll share ideas, connect, and learn from each other as we amplify the praxis of Black August.

Join the BAP Solidarity Network as we deepen our understanding and commitment to Black August by rooting in principled praxis. In this session, we'll work through the roots of Black August and its four pillars (study, fast, train, fight) to ground in collective resistance and solidarity with our political prisoners.

Black August Reflection: Supporting Our Political Prisoners Year Round

Join us as we reflect on Black August and deepen our understanding of political prisoners as collective resistance. Through dialogue, we'll make connections between the legacy of Black August, the current carceral state, and sustained solidarity with our political prisoners.
