The Black Alliance for Peace Baltimore Citywide Alliance presents: ‘Summer School 2023,' an in-person series of political education sessions connecting domestic and global imperialism.

3rd part: Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, plans to establish a private police force called the John Hopkins Police Department (JHPD) that would have no community oversight. Teachers and Researchers United, a union on campus, is opposed to this private police force because not only is it a threat to organizing for better working conditions, but the JHPD would be a direct threat to the safety and well-being of our community.

Come learn about the history of the struggle against the JHPD and the ways you can raise awareness and support opposition to a private police force in Baltimore City at 6 pm on Friday, August 25, 2023.

Refreshments will be available. The location is wheelchair accessible. Masks will be provided.
