AFRICA FOR AFRICANS: Revolutionary Pan-Africanist Unity Across Borders in the Battle for Socialism Against Imperialism!
African Liberation Day was first commemorated in 1958 by Kwame Nkrumah as a way to celebrate and build momentum for anti-colonial and liberation movements across the African continent. Today, ALD continues to be a powerful occasion to raise awareness about Pan-African solidarity, educate the community on ongoing political and social struggles throughout Africa and the African diaspora, strengthen grassroots unity and challenge capitalism and imperialism.
We will have music, performances, vendors, free clothes for community members that need it, art, and POLITICAL EDUCATION in the form of Panel Discussions.
We are so happy to be collaborating with Black Alliance for Peace and International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement.
At the Brooklyn Movement Center (375 Stuyvesant Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11233), Saturday, 12PM – 5:30PM
