October 1, 2021 marked 13 years since the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) was established. The purpose of AFRICOM is to use U.S. military power to impose U.S. control of African land, resources and labor to service the needs of U.S. multinational corporations and the wealthy in the United States.

Teach-in participants will receive a basic understanding of the purpose, history, and impact of AFRICOM on the African continent.
