The Price of Sugar (2007) exposes the brutal exploitation of Haitian workers, in the sugar industry of apartheid Dominican Republic, a billion-dollar industry built on modern-day slavery. This film dives into the role of U.S. corporate and imperial political dynasties that run it with impunity.

The film will be followed by a political discussion on the current conditions of exploitation and impunity in the sugarcane plantations, and a call for collective action against systemic oppression and injustice.
