The Zone of Peace Campaign calls for an Emergency Day of Action for Haitian Sovereignty on Thursday, Oct 12th. This is a significant day throughout the Americas and given the impending intervention, we call on peoples and organizations to recognize the critical role of Haiti in the Americas and the global struggle against white supremacy, colonialism, and imperialism. We must reject this clear violation of a Zone of Peace in the Caribbean and the Americas. While this will be a long struggle, we can unite locally and globally through solidarity actions in our neighborhoods, cities, and nations – with rallies, teach-ins, mobilizations, call-in campaigns, press conferences etc. We will be sharing a toolkit to support these emergency actions by Monday, Oct 9th.

Llamamos por a un Día de Acción de Emergencia por la Soberanía Haitiana el jueves 12 de octubre. Este es un día significativo en toda América, y dada la inminente intervención, llamamos a los pueblos y organizaciones a reconocer el papel crítico de Haití en América y la lucha global contra la supremacía blanca, el colonialismo y el imperialismo. Debemos rechazar esta clara violación de una Zona de Paz en el Caribe y América. Aunque esta será una larga lucha, podemos unirnos a nivel local y global a través de acciones de solidaridad en nuestros vecindarios, ciudades y naciones, como mítines, sesiones informativas, movilizaciones, campañas de llamadas, conferencias de prensa, etc. Compartiremos un conjunto de herramientas para apoyar estas acciones de emergencia antes del lunes 9 de octubre.
