The U.S. defeat in Afghanistan occurred years ago, a fact verified by revelations found in the “Afghanistan Papers.” This defeat has had no appreciative impact on U.S. foreign-policy makers, who continued their destructive path in places like Yemen, Libya and Syria. The new administration of U.S. President Joe Biden has eagerly accepted and ramped up its drone war in Somalia, and militarization of Congo and Mozambique.
