AfroResistance will be hosting their Beyond Borders pane discussion October 28th at 12PM (CR), 1:00 PM (COL/JM), 2:00 PM (NYC), and 3:00 PM (BR/CH) The conversation will be centered around Haiti, gender issues, and migration.

Guerline M. Jozef
Guerline M. Jozef is an activist, servant, mother, sister, niece, and wife. Ms. Jozef is the creator of “Tales from the US-MEXICO borderlands and Beyond” and FYI (For Your Inspiration) Radio, co-funder and Executive Director of the Haitian Bridge Alliance, Inc. (HBA), co-Founder of the Black Immigrants Bail Fund.
Martine Jean-Baptiste
Martine Jean-Baptiste is a Midwife and has been involved in women’s health and offering holistic services in NY since 1986. She spearheaded the founding of a nonprofit organization, Foundation for Advancement of Haitian Midwives, Inc. (FAHM). She is FAHM's Executive Director.
Emmanuela Douyon
Emmanuela Douyon is a Haitian economist, activist, blogger, and speaker. She is the Executive Director of POLICITÉ and a member of Nou Pap Dòmi (We Will Not Sleep), a collective of young Haitians committed to influencing the way the Haitian State serves the population and to fighting corruption, impunity, and social injustice.
Jemima Pierre
Jemima Pierre is the Haiti/Americas Coordinator for the Black Alliance for Peace, and a Black Studies and Anthropology professor at the University of California, Los Angeles. She was born in Haiti and migrated to the US as a young adult.
