Join Westchester for Palestine and Black Alliance for Peace (BAP) for a teach-in that walks us through the historical and modern linkages between Palestinian, Indigenous American, and African/Black peoples. The program will take attendees on a journey where they learn about the story of the colonization of three seemingly unrelated groups, and how colonialism and imperialism remain tools of domination that directly impact the world around us - from Mount Vernon to Palestine and beyond.

We will discuss the history of the Palestinian, African/Black, and Indigenous American liberation struggles. We also will emphasize the importance of March 30 as Palestinian Land Day.

Speakers:

  • Dr. Rabab Abdulhadi - Educator, author, and activist. Director & Senior Scholar in Arab & Muslim Ethnicities & Diasporas Studies at San Francisco State University.

  • Asantewaa Nkrumah-Ture - Organizer for over 40 years, currently in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Member of Black Alliance for Peace, the Green Party of Philadelphia, and the Philly Tenants Union.
